Considering some of the horror stories about houses nearly burning down by other brands I'd say my complaints are minuscule with this one. I was going to give it a 1 star but then I read the other reviews of other brands. Anyway, I had mine installed 2 years ago. Besides my one main complaint (I'm getting to that soon) it's one of the best purchases I've ever made for my home. I save a ton of money by not having a gas water heater (with a tank) and it's very efficient with electricity also (though I can't compare it to an electric water heater with a tank because I've never owned one).
When everything works it's perfect. You turn on the hot water and within seconds you have hot water. You can adjust the maximum temperature too so it's child safe (in case a kid decides to turn the hot water on full and gets scolded by it you can set the max to a very hot, but not burning, temp). I live in Northern Ohio so I've used it in both hot and cold (frigid) weather with absolutely no difference between the two. Also, you can run as many appliances that use water as you want and never lose temperature (though your water pressure will suffer, but that not something a water heater can change).
So that's all great except it's not always like that. At completely random times, days, weather, the hot water temperature will suddenly start dropping until it's just cold. Sometimes this happens after a few minutes of use and sometimes after a few seconds. Sometimes it happens only once while being used and other times it keeps happening until you give up trying to shower or wash the dishes. And this happen at the faucets (in all rooms and floors that have one) and in the showers. The easiest way to tell it's about to drop is when you see the lights dim a little and then go bright again (that signals water temp drop is imminent). The only solution I have found is to turn off the shower/faucet and wait 30 seconds before turning it on again (not fun when trying to shower or run a bath, especially when it keeps happening). The troubleshooting page in the guide and on the web claims that only water pressure or water temp above 70 degrees (coming in to the heater) can cause this. My water pressure is fine and never fluctuates. The water coming is not over 70 degrees (especially since tonight the temp outside is 31 degrees here and I just finished trying to run a bath with this nonsense happening non-stop). Because of the dimming lights indicating an imminent problem I had an electrician check the electrical of the house and everything is fine with it.

This doesn't happen all the time, or even VERY often, but it does happen enough to be a nuisance. All in all though I'd rather have this problem than return to a burnt down house like other electrical water heaters have done to people. Even for the price I paid 2 years ago(which was more than double what it is now) it's been a good purchase and has saved me money.

EDIT/UPDATE:

The unit completely stopped working on me a few ago and so I called in the experts and had them look at it. Two of the three heating elements were completely burnt and not working and a connection on the motherboard/brain was also burnt. Because of the way it was made (and the fantastic warranty on it) they couldn't replace the parts so they gave me a brand new one. The result? It finally works perfectly, as it should have the first time around . . . let's see for how long.
