Large table with great surface area i covered with a slab of wood and a 1/4 inch sheet of steel on top of that. It was easy to assemble for me( a 5'5" 145lb woman) I use my table to do my metal smithing and sauldering with some pounding of sterling metal. the wood/steel top helps cousion table top and saves it from dents done by hammer when pounding out metal
