On the one hand, this is a very attractive, well-made, well-proportioned, nicely weighted torchiere lamp.
On the other hand, the write-up says
"A 3-way bulb allows for ample illumination for game night in the family room or a soft ambient glow in a living room."
I tried 2 3-way incandescent and 1 3-way CFL light and none of them offered more than one level of illumination
when the floor switch was repeatedly pressed.
I expected the 3-way behaviour the write-up offered and especially for the money I paid;
hence I only give it three stars.
However, you can always add a Lutron dimmer switch and get the added benefit of being
able to operate the lamp at desk level.
Also, FYI, the "circuit-limiting" device is just a circuit breaker with another (built-in) on/off switch.
Other than this "3-way" misrepresentation, it's a good lamp as I say at the start
and, indeed, it is especially pleasant to look at when lit.

I ordered 6 of these for a new house, 4 arrived broken, ordered 4 replacements, 3 arrived broken, then 2, then 1, then 1, then 1, then amazon refused to replace it & stopped carrying it altogether (to this day over a year later). I even ordered on from Home Depot (ship to store to avoid UPS in case that was the problem) & same thing happened. I know ratings are for the product not the *seller* packaging, but in this case the *manufacturer* packaging was clearly insufficient--to give you an idea, it just has cardboard around the sides and front and back directly touching porcelain-no Styrofoam to protect it from hitting something as it shift inside the outer box, & given its weight it is guaranteed to shift during shipment and without Styrofoam on side impact points it *will* break. I had several arrive broken *inside the box* (no external damage to either outer box or product packaging), clearly demonstrating this point. I finally broke down & bought from local plumbing supplier, which is the only way I would recommend buying one of these. I literally wasted probably 20 hours of my life talking to Amazon about this order, all because of the poor manufacturer product packaging. These are designed to ship on pallets in a semi, not individually in a box. I asked UPS and despite ordering via Amazon Prime they said these shipped ground due to proximity (KY to IN). As far as the toilet itself, it's problematic as well. Edge of base isn't elevated (should rest on raised bottom, not the lip), so grinds again tile when you lean forward. When used with matching tank, toilet requires holding the flusher down for about 15 seconds to flush completely to get enough water to avoid. The matching lid won't stay open due to the edge of the tank protruding out beyond the seat holes-so you have to hold the seat up with on hand if you are a guy. It's not an adjustment problem -- I'm an engineer,I've had 2 professional plumbers look at it, and called customer support who said there's nothing you can do about it. The matching seat also has quality issues (slow close mechanism strips repeatedly on all the toilets due to design defect). Overall, just not impressed with design, manufacturing, or packaging quality for such a high end brand. I wish I had stuck with the loud, but functional Champion 4.

I am giving the fixture 4 stars because it's quite nice, but the color is more of a dark charcoal gray (almost black), rather than the usual dark brownish color that oil-rubbed bronze has indicated for all other fixture I've purchase (many) described as oil-rubbed bronze. If that's what you're looking for and you like the look of this fixture otherwise, you won't be disappointed. But if you need a more brown tone, pass on this one.

I'm so glad I didn't give up on getting this shower surround for my new basement guest bathroom. I found it online at a Menards in Ohio but unfortunately, they didn't ship to my state. Fortunately, amazon.com was there to save the day. The size is perfect for my small bathroom. My contractor seemed to have little trouble with the installation, and it looks great.

The construction seems pretty solid, and the opacity of the glass is perfect. My favorite part is the dual sliding doors.

This lamp is so pretty and special with its night light. My daughter uses it daily, and sleeps with the night light on. The lamp gives great light. One warning - if the lampshade becomes tilted, the bulb can burn it (it happened to us). I turned that side to the back, but it wasn't really a solution. -I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this fixture. The diffuser is made of tempered frosted glass. At this price point I was worried it would be plastic.
-Very secure packaging and all parts were accounted for.
-I installed the light in a 10x12 home office. The light level is good for general lighting but the work surfaces will definately need task lighting.
-My only issue with the light is the way the diffuser fits inside the shade. Along one edge, there is a 1/2" gap between the diffuser edge and the shade, so from below you can see up into the bulb area. You may want to test fit the diffuser before hanging.

Stabila 06150 - LE50 Laser Distance Measurer Review

This laser is so accurate that in many applications it can replace a tape. In fact, it can be more accurate than a tape.

For example, I recently used this to complete a 500 linear foot crown molding job that had some long spans along a cathedral ceiling and this gave measurements that were dead on when cutting with them.

For estimating/quoting, this was a huge time saver: no spreading out tape from one side of a room to another, just shoot this against the opposite wall for two walls and you're done. Imagine poking your head into an attic to measure the square footage, taking a few laser shots, and being done in under a minute. However, if you are only using this laser for estimating and not for cutting measurements, then there are other lasers at 1/3 the price that are less accurate in general, but still exceptionally accurate for this purpose.

One word of caution: the laser has a setting to measure from the front or the back (back is default). Each setting has a different audible tone and is apparent on the screen. However, in the concentration of a job, it still might not be noticed. We had one easy, square room, in which we cut all four crown pieces short by exactly the length of the laser body - it was obviously on the setting to measure from the front.
