Red Lion MPTC Multi-Purpose Transfer Pump Review

I purchased this pump after calling up Little Giant to seek advice for my application. Their customer support team is excellent. No automated phone system, talk to a person right away. I needed a pump to run my garden drip system from a catchment tank. My garden is 10'x20' and drip systems need around 20psi of pressure. I had tried a couple other options before calling up Little Giant to ask what would work best. They helped me decide what pump would work based on the head pressure in my system. The pump has been running every day since spring and is doing great. The only con about this pump is that it is very loud.

Note: This pump is not self-priming, meaning that it needs water in the intake to start. Because my pump is connected the the spigot on my catchment tank, this is not a problem. Check out Little Giant's self-priming offerings if you want an easier solution to pumping out a flooded area. The Little Giant MPTC is good for that but is not suitable for my application because it can't take much head pressure.
