Product Description

Tritons plunge router has several features that make it ideal for the router table. Its through-the-base bit changing ability makes what has always been difficult and awkward simple and fast! Simply bring the router to full plunge depth for single wrench bit changes-the spindle rises above the baseplate, locks automatically, and a safety lockout switch cuts in so the router cannot be started. The plunge feature is a rack and pinion mechanism with an adjusting knob for accurate depth adjustments and a micro adjuster for super accurate depth adjustments. Depress a button in the handle, and you have a standard free plunge mechanism, with a plunge lock lever right next to one of the grips. The plunge spring is easily removed for use in a router table. Turret stops are simple and quick to set, with easy-to-read calibrations. Front and rear full enclosure safety shields increase safety and aid dust extraction. Included is a cutting guide/fence that also incorporates a circle-cutting feature. Weight is 13 lbs., and the maximum plunge depth is 2.6". Motor is 15 Amp, 8,000 - 20,000 RPM variable speed with electronic speed maintenance under load and soft start. Includes: winder handle for table mounted adjustments, a 1/2" carbide straight bit and 1/4" collet reducer.

WOW.. After I used this router on my Kreg Router table, this beats any router for power, ease of use and the collet above the table for ease of bit change... It is still worth having a few quirks to tend to.

Recd the router and the packaging box was too big for the router box and it was in rough shape. Looks like the router was used there was wood remnants on the collet. The collet holder was also lose very hard to tighten due to nothing to stop it from turning.Hopefully it is tight enough, would not have noticed if I wasn't installing in a router table.

Fit and finish well it looks like a router you would get from Harbor Freight. Made in Taiwan.... HMMM

It is mounted on my Kreg Router table and hopefully I have good luck with it.. I should of purchased a Porter Cable..
