I was looking for a easy to use grease filter for our kitchen water, sink and dish washer. The Endura fit the bill but I wanted something easy to clean. To accomplish this I took out the input seperator and let the water flow over a 5 gallon paint filter filled with apple wood chips as a bio filter. The output seperator only allows the water that has been through my filter to leave the trap. It seems to work fine. My wood chip filter cost about $6 and I will change it about every 6 months. The water that comes out into my leach line is pretty clean. We did changed from the antibiotic dish soap to a grease cutting brand, I think this helps.
