I've had the Monte Carlo fan in operations for about a month. It is absolutely the quietest fan that I have ever owner (and I have 7). I was able to install the fan myself and the instructions were clear and straightforward. After the initial installation, I noticed a slight wobble and was able to correct it by using the included balancing kit. Because I have 12' ceilings, I used a 24" down-rod and even with the extension, there is no wobble and NO noise. Impressive!

I say this because I used to be a wholesale distributor for Hunter Fans. I always thought that they were top of the line, until now. The quality of the parts are excellent... No cheap plastic or brittle castings. My wife chose this fan for its aesthetics. The British bronze finish looks great combined with the wood veneer of the blades.

These are expensive, as ceiling fans go. But, if you're looking for good looks, durability and quiet operation, these fans can do the trick... especially if you can find them on sale. I'd recommend this product without hesitation.
