Five Star Looks but 1 Star Quality

Received the item within the given time frame promised. Followed the directions exactly and the threaded piece that goes between the base and bottom pole stripped and would no longer tighten. I contacted the seller who then contacted the manufacturer. Another piece was overnighted (there was no communication once they said they had contacted the manufacturer) a few days later.

Second attempt and upon tightening the base to the lamp pole the same exact piece stripped yet again. My problem is this lamp fit my needs so off to home depot to find a solution. The customer service person pointed me to JB Weld as it is two metal pieces that thread together. After mixing the JB Weld together and taping the two pieces together I had to wait 15 hours to see if it worked. Finished putting it together the next night and it works perfectly.

Total build time (with waiting for parts and repairs): About 5 days

BTW: I love this lamp, just wish the DIY didn't have to be a part of something I paid so much money for.

Speedway 6909 8-Gallon Air Compressor with 77 Piece Kit Review

The combination of the compressor with a starter set of most used tools is a good value. The SCFM rating is higher than the typical pancake units so that a small spray gun can be used.
The unit was not adequately boxed given its weight. This resulted in the tank pressure gauge being damaged. An email request for a warranty replacement took two tries but was then provided quickly.

A small amount of assembly - wheels, feet, handle - is required. Very visible warnings to be sure to add the oil before using. The breakin procedure is clearly described.

It is noisier than I expected. All fittings were tight - pressure held.

The supplied tools, while not professional grade, seem adequate for occasional home shop use. The included air tools are a brad nailer, a die grinder with a variety of stones plus cut off wheels and a ratchet with a set of sockets. There were also an air nozzle, tire chuck and a typical assortment of fittings. The hand tools - inch and metric nut drivers - are junk.

All in all I found the package a worthwhile value and the warranty response was good.

Bosch 2700ES LP Aquastar 7.2 GPM Indoor Tankless Liquid Propane Water Heater Review

I purchased this unit about a year and a half ago. I hooked up and plumbed the water lines to it and it was fairly straightforward. I had a certified propane installer run the propane line and pressure test it. It worked fine for about 3 months. Then it stopped working. I tried customer support. They answered the call in about 10 minutes but were unable to diagnose the problem. I talked to several different people and noone was able to help me. Then my wife noticed that when the lights were out in the room and I tried to start it there were sparks in the unit. After taking the hood off and watching I could see that the wires that caused the electric starter to spark were arching between the wires and the frame of the unit. I called Bosch and they sent me new wires and I installed them and was up and running within a 1/2 hour. Since then we have run it for over a year with no problems. I assume that I just got a defective set of wires. Very happy with the product but only gave it 4 stars because of the problem and their inability to diagnose it. The only other problem I have with it is not a problem with Bosch but with on demand water heaters in general. You definitely want to have a shower that has two knobs (both hot and cold) in it instead of one knob that controls both. With one knob if you turn it too cool you it will shut off the water heater and you won't know this until the line is cleared of hot water which can take 30 seconds. Then you turn it back hot and it takes another 30 seconds for the new hot water to get to you. With two knobs you can turn the hot water tap on high (or at least high enough so that there is enough demand to keep the water heater running) and then moderate the temperature with just the cold tap.

I love the look of the design and the color and the mini-widespread. My only complaint so far is that there are 2 little niks in the finish, not too noticeable because one is on the back of the downspout and one is on the ring for the handle but a little disappointed considering how much I love the color.

Have not installed it yet so don't know about the function. Hoping I still love it as much when it's installed.

I bought a gun safe from Cannon, they had a faulty touch pad. For months I tried to get Cannon to fix the problem. They led me to believe it was me not knowing how to open the safe and also because I was not able to find a 9 volt battery with an 8 year shelf life, it was my fault the safe would not open. They had me do everything but kill a chicken and do a voodoo dance to get the key pad locking mechanism to work. They were wearing me down. Come to find out they have bad key touch pads on many of them. Cannon doesn't stand behind it's products. I bought my safe brand new, and the key pad locking device used to open the gun safe didn't work from day one. It cost me $500. for a new touch pad and to have a "professional lock smith" to put it on. What a joke. The lock smith was a convict. I compromised my security in my house in a way I never counted on. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CANNON SAFE AND I SURE DON'T RECOMMEND THEM.
